Welcome to my blog! I’m happy you’re here.

In Matthew 28:11, Jesus invites those of us who are weary and burdened to come to him and in return, he will give us rest. He didn’t require us to be perfect, only to come to him. How many of us are weary and burdened from grief, anxiety, depression, finances, and so on and so forth? How do we get away from it all or better yet, what can we do to fix it?

Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! one more time for those in the back…Jesus!

My name is Tanya and I am learning that without Jesus, nothing else matters. I have lived all my life trying to fix myself and how many of you know that we cannot fix ourselves? Well, if you know, kudos to you and where were you when I needed to know? I’m just kidding but seriously, I always thought I had to be perfect to be in the presence of the Lord so I didn’t want to come.

Psst! Let me tell you a secret, I once subscribed to: I’m going to live my life the way I want and right before I die, I’ll pray and ask for forgiveness. How deceived was I? Who knows when or how they will die? Ok, so it is safe to say I was on the crazy train headed straight for eternal damnation and I had a front-row seat…

but God!

My Father called me off that train. I was hesitant at first, and He knew I would be so he was patient with me. He raised up people in my life to minister to me, encourage me, and help me really see Him. Now I am being raised up, to encourage others and plant seeds that lead to life a.k.a Jesus!

So, join me on this journey, let’s run this race and seek the Lord while he may still be found. Let us lay our burdens at the feet of Jesus and get our rest.

Writing is one of my first loves. So, it’s only fitting that God uses my love of writing to reach his children. As I continue on this journey, I pray that each soul that comes across this blog is blessed with opened eyes, ears, and heart to receive his word.
